Taylor Hawkins’ Son Honors Late Rocker Dad with “My Hero” Performance


Shane has performed together with his dad and his bandmates—together with Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl—all through his life. In 2018, he joined Chevy Metallic onstage to carry out a canopy of The Rolling Stones‘ 1978 single “Miss You” at a benefit concert for the Los Angeles Food Bank.  

His newest efficiency comes one month after the Foo Fighters introduced two tribute live shows in honor of Taylor, which can be held in London on Sept. 3 and Los Angeles on Sept. 27. 

A set of iconic rockers, together with Liam Gallagher, Brian CouldKrist NovoselicMark Ronson, Miley CyrusJoan Jett, Alanis MorissettePinkNikki Sixx and Chad Smith and extra are slated to carry out. Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock may also make a particular look on the London present. 

The band first announced the concert lineups on Instagram. “For our expensive pal, our badass bandmate, our beloved brother,” they wrote. “Foo Fighters and The Hawkins household deliver you the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Live shows.” 

Taylor died on March 25 through the Foo Fighters’ South American tour. A cause of death was not revealed, however medicine have been discovered within the musician’s system and his coronary heart weighed double the traditional weight. He’s survived by his spouse Alison in addition to their three youngsters: Shane, Annabelle, 13, and Everleigh, 8.  

“Taylor’s endearing spirit and deep love of music will stay on perpetually by the collaborations he so loved having with different musicians and the catalog of songs he contributed to and created,” Alison wrote in a June 8 Instagram statement. “In celebration of his life, it’s now as much as all of us who liked him most to honor Taylor’s legacy and the music he gave us.”
